Johnny Silverhand aided CD PROJEKT RED in their big announcement
Early this morning (October 5th) CD PROJEKT RED took to Twitter to announce that Cyberpunk 2077, first teased in 2012, has “gone gold”, putting a pin in any doubt that the game would be delayed once again.
With CDPR busting the doors wide open on Cyberpunk 2077’s TV marketing with the “Seize The Day” & “No Limits” trailers mere days ago at the NBA Finals, it was only a matter of time before the announcement that development on Cyberpunk had come to a close.
“Going gold” effectively means a master CD has been printed with the full version of the game to be sent out for mass production.
Cyberpunk 2077 will clock in at 70GB, although a day 1 patch is still not out of the question for launch day if unruly bugs and glitches still need to be patched.
The waiting game for Cyberpunk 2077 is almost over with just under 45 days left till full release on November 19th.
